Still, there are plans to expand the airport so that it could accommodate larger, long-haul flights from international destinations. For now, travelers from New Zealand have to take connecting flights through Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, Johannesburg, and other options to reach the city. All in all, travelers from cities such as Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch may have to travel for at least 35h to reach Victoria Falls.
