Another important war memorial for Cambodians is the Independence Monument. Interest in local crafts, jewelry and artworks is best indulged in the New Central Market and Tuol Tom Market. Remember to haggle for the best bargains in these shopping locales.

Reaching Phnom Penh from key cities of Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington is convenient with regular flights from Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Qantas Airways. Travel times would take 17 to 19 hours including connecting flights.
