The Queen Alia International Airport is the country’s major international airport. It handles majority of the flights to and from major international destination. Meanwhile, the smaller Marka International Airport handles nearby international destinations and domestic flights. Travelers coming from Wellington, New Zealand travel for 27 hours to reach the city while the travel times from Auckland and Christchurch are at 24 hours and 20 minutes and 24 hours and 50 minutes, respectively. Flights are provided by Etihad, Air New Zealand, Royal Jordanian, and Gulf Air, among others.
